BlueGreen Condominiums: Big Sky, Montana
Four story, 133,000 sf condominiums utilizing a
pre-engineered light gauge steel wall panel system, light
gauge pre-engineered floor truss and roof truss system.
Heavy timber trusses were utilized as part of the roof
system. The lateral system incorporated a mixture of light
gauge shear walls and concrete shear walls. Project
challenges included 165 psf ground snow load and severe
seismic loading.
Deerborn Condominiums: Missoula, Montana
Four story condominium development over an underground
garage area. Garage is steel framed with concrete deck with
the upper structure framed out of wood.
Hilton Garden Inn: Billings, Montana
This five story, 70,000 sf hotel with one story 3,500 sf
conference center, was designed and built using the
design/build process to meet an accelerated project
schedule. Construction consisted of 8” hollow-core planks
bearing on steel wide-flange beams. The primary lateral
system is comprised of Steel Moment Frames, and Concentric
Steel Braced Frames. The structure bears on a system of
driven piles and concrete grade beams.
Montgomery Birthing Center: Missoula, Montana
Two story, 16,000 sf medical office building. Construction
comprised of a mix of light gage steel, conventional wood,
and steel framing.
Mullan Heights Apartments: Missoula, Montana
Two 4-story, 65,000 sf apartment buildings with underground
parking. Construction consisted of a main floor comprised of
composite steel with cast-in-place floor deck and upper
floor and roof deck comprised of conventional wood framing.
